At their annual convention over the weekend, the members of the Libertarian Party of Arkansas nominated candidates for the 2026 general election.

Izard County Judge	Justice of the Peace Mark Simino – Calico Rock
Izard County Clerk	Debra Brown – Oxford
State House District 48	Hunter Jackson – Van Buren
State House District 61	Garrett Sheeks – Stuttgart
State House District 58	Jocelyn Fry – Searcy
State House District 80	Daniel Stuckey – Little Rock
Saline County JP District 8	Jacob Stone – Benton

The Libertarian Party of Arkansas will be on the ballot in the November general election by virtue of having successfully petitioned to become a “new political party.” As such, its candidates are nominated by convention and must submit their candidate paperwork to the Secretary of State or to the appropriate County Clerk by noon on March 3, the date of the preferential primary election.

This is the eighth consecutive electoral cycle in which the Libertarian Party has qualified for new political party status in Arkansas. More information about the party is available at https://lpar.org/.
